Piltz headed to championships
Kealakehe Elementary fourth-grader Kanoe Piltz is headed back to San Diego for the NFL Punt, Pass and Kick Team Championships. She qualified in 2011, as well. Piltz placed first in her age group in competitions in Kailua-Kona and Hilo. She also placed in the top four statewide. Winning in San Diego qualifies athletes for the national contest.
“My brothers tried out and my dad said you should maybe do it, too,” Piltz said. She also plays baseball, basketball, track and volleyball.
